It's all Drover's fault
Am out of town. Saw Australia. Wept like a child at the final scene. I was aided and abetted in this by the piece of classical music playing at that moment, which is also a piece of music often used in Britain when there are state funerals etc - a very stirring, beautiful, aching piece of classical music with full orchestra, the main melody carried by strings.

Does anyone know what the piece is called? I have googled, I have searched amazon and iTunes, and I can't find anything that helps.

(Randomly, I'm pretty sure I've asked about this piece of music before, and I'm pretty sure [ profile] toft_froggy knew what I was talking about, but, you know, memory like a sieve, earwormed so bad.)

ETA: FOUND IT! It's Nimrod, from Elgar's Enigma Variations. WHEW.
